Revlon colourstay foundation

Hi everyone,

So i know there have been many reviews/blogs on the colourstay foundation. with regards to this i'm a bit slow.. apologies..! lol. I bought this last week after many recommendations.. There are two types oily/combination and normal/dry. I got the one for oily/combination skin in 220 natural beige. This colour is perhaps a tiny bit dark for me but the next one down from that 180 i just felt was slightly too light for me, its probably closer to my shade than the 220 however i am pale enough without making myself look washed out so as much as you need a foundation to match your skin tone, and if you are pale especially, it doesnt hurt to get the next shade up to add a bit of warmth to the skin.
This one i have is fine once its well blended in. It does dry very quickly so a quick application is needed, i apply mine with a foundation brush for better results. Unlike other foundations for oily skin that can often be too heavy and cakey, this doesnt. It is fantastic for coverage which was the sole reason i bought it. However it can be too easy to plaster it on esp if you have problem skin. This is a thick enough foundation to cover without layering it on. I can be guilty of doing this myself, as i do get spots along my chin, jawline and forehead which is very irritating as i am 25 so i had hoped my skin would be flawless by now.. lol but no such luck!
I do like this foundation alot, it is one i will be sticking to for a while, i just have to be careful not to over apply. Its also very long lasting which i think is what every girl wants in a foundation! Its a perfect base for nights out as it won't melt unlike others. And of course during the working day when we first apply it in the morning it literally stays put all day, no need for touch ups which is fantastic! One big tip i would give anyone using this foundation is to apply it straight after moisturiser, instead of waiting for it to dry before applying the foundation, the moisture will make it alot easier to apply and blend.
Pros: Great coverage
Long lasting
Good choice of shades

Cons: Can look too caked on if over appled.
Hard to remove

You have probably already seen many of this reviews, but i hope this helps in some way.

Kerrie xx
