MAC Haul: just a couple of things... :)

Popped into MAC to pick up a few things :) as u do... Some i'v been after for a while, others are just replacements. They were really to add to my kit but i am soo in love with them that they'l probably be used more so on myself than anyone else... :)) Didn't get a load of stuff, just a few things so thought i'd show you..

LadyBlush Creme blusher
-A cool tone pink sooo pretty on. Very dewy, only a tiny amount needed.

Mac Iridescent powder in Silver Dusk

Its a stunning silvery sheen, not glittery! Add's a gorgeous glow to the skin.
Swatched a bit too much here i think... :)

This is the makeup i wore today. I'm wearing silver dusk on the upper cheek bone & brow. Ladyblush creme blusher on the cheeks. Individually they are gorgeous..but together they are a perfect combination for glowing skin..! I love this blush it really is so so pretty. Silver dusk is Amaazing! but i will keep it for nights out/special occasions, and will always carry a spare in my kit.

Another sweet little purchase i got was Mac paint pot in Bare study, i'v bought this before its a lovely pretty champagne colour great as a base or even all over the lid for a subtle drop of colour. Perfect for work!

Mac Club eyeshadow
I'm surprised i haven't got this sooner, i've wanted this for a while. This is the shade Kristen Stewart has worn on her lid a few times with a little bronze through the crease. Wheather or not its actually Mac she has on is anyone's guess but this is certainly the closest shade to her's i've seen and as i'm a little obsessed with Kristen Stewart this was a definate must buy.. But aside from Kristen i'm very impressed with this colour its gorgeous on, i think this will be my new favourite Mac shadow! Will do a look using this club shortly...

Picked up Creme de nude & Costa chic
-Creme de nude most of you will know of, very popular nude shade, very creamy, i'v repurchased  this a few times defin a must for any makeup lovers collection.
-Costa Chic a stunning Coral pink, Beautiful shade! i'm soooo in love with this colour, been dribling over this for a while so finally got it and glad i did. Also great combination with Saint Germaine, makes a very unusual colour! Would show you a pic but cant find my saint germaine lipstick at the moment :(
I also bought NC20 Studio Fix concealer but you all know what it looks like so i wont bore you with a picture. I wear NW20 under the eye, but needed NC20 to cover blemishes an redness, its a yellow tone concealer so great for counter-acting redness. Its a little too light for me at the moment as my skin has a bit more colour to it at this time of the year but should be ok in the winter, if not in the kit it goes..! :))

Didn't get much of a look at the new feline collection but will pop back in there in a week or two to see if there is anything worth buying..although i'v had a cheeky look online an nothing has stood out..but we'l see!

Whats your must buy's from Mac..??

Gosh primer: yay...or...nay...??

I bought Gosh Primer last week never used it before so thought i'd give it a go...But...so far i'm not loving it
:( I have combination/oily skin and quite often get breakouts. I found that while Gosh primer felt amazing when applied to my skin, once the foundation was on it caked abit around my problem areas, and throughout the day there was no change my skin still looked dry an flakey in those areas like my chin.

So i guess i know now not to apply this to any problem areas an just to the main parts of the skin cheeks nose forehead etc, but judging this product in general i didn't really get any longer out of my makeup than i would have if i had no primer on so needless to say so far... i'm a little disppointed but i have only used it for a week so really don't want to make up my mind just yet, will need to give it a chance..

Has anyone else used Gosh primer? How did you find it?

mmmm my lovely red beauty....x

I bought this lovely red bag in Oasis last week. I had been eyeing it up for a while so finally decided to just buy it an be done dribbling over it! :) Now... i really think these pics are not really doing it justice.. it does look waaaaaay nicer in real life. Its such a classic shape and colour, very simple an sheek, its not a bag thats gonna date. This bag also comes in black, tan and i think a blue one which i saw a while ago, but this vibrant red was my favourite so i couldnt resist.. It looks quite small in these pics but it is really big.

Please note..I would not wear a pink top with a red bag outside of the house btw..thats one colour clash gone too
far, lol!

I ♥ it...

Review: Gosh Nail polish in Golden Brown

I picked this up yesterday while out shopping, an yes....i'm doing a review already :) because i'm really pleased with it, its so pretty! its actually my first Gosh nail polish..i've only used a very small amount of their products before. Gosh, here in Ireland are in most chemists and can be fairly expensive esp in euro but the quality of their products are definatley worth the price. I was on the lookout for a metallic colour for a while but couldnt find a shade i liked. So my eyes were drawn to this one very quickly... :) The words 'golden brown' do not do it justice.. i think it needs more of an exotic/rich name. Its a lovely metallic goldy/bronze colour, quite sheer at first so needs 2 maybe 3 coats, long wearing...i've had this on since yesterday evening and it hasn't chiped or flaked off at all which for me is brilliant as alot of my others nail polishes chip after only a few hours of wear, so very happy with this one! So.... in all a gorgeous, expensive looking colour, perfect shade for Autumn... ♥

August In's & Out's :)

In's:

Dresses: So yes while many of us girls loves our dresses over the summer period as i have.. i'm finding them more practical at the moment rather than just cute. After a summer of holidays, eating whatever i like, bbq's etc..needless to say i've gone up a few pounds on the scales.. :(( an its so much easier to wear a dress than say jeans, dresses sit well on me, i dont feel i have to 'breathe' in all day, they're comfy, an more importantly they're pretty!

Twilight: Okaaay..i know i'm a bit late on the bandwagon but i'm finally here...! When the big phenomenon that is Twilight took off..i simply had no interest in it. As far as i was concerned it was just another vampire film. Then the bigger the films got, an they're following of course i started to get curious.. maybe i made up my mind about the film a little prematurely? Everyone i spoke to said they were brilliant an they were avid fans. So I rented out Twilight and New moon only about a month ago, had the house to myself watched them back to back an yes now i too am a HUGE fan...!! I cannot believe i didnt see it sooner! Roll on Breaking Dawn... :))

Benefit Bad Gal lash Mascara: OMG..... Love Love Love this mascara!! I'm very fussy about mascaras, i've tried so many over the years, some i've liked some not so much, none of them has wowed me thou, until now.... I was in London couple of weeks ago an bought this (its cheaper there than here in Ireland) I had heard of it but was swayed to buy it after watching 'pixi2woo' aka Tanya Burr on Youtube.. Her lashes looked amazing an said it was down to this mascara so of course i had to buy it!! However i never have great expectations with mascaras, but this i knew after one coat was Amazzing!! Thickens, lengthens, Its soo black..i'm in love with it!! I will do a review on it in the coming days :)

Hair colour: So i'm about to change my hair colour.. well it wont be an over night thing but i am in the process of fading it out as we speak. I have had a plum tone in my hair for like 2 years now, i do like the colour but its time for a change. I always feel i have to bronze up somewhat to be able to carry it off as its so dark. I want to go back to my natural colour or a shade very close to it.. my natural hair is a light brown/dark blonde. I would be nice to see it again as i have dyed my hair different colours for yrs an yrs, i always got restless with it. But now i would like something very low maintance an a bit more natural. I was told 'head n shoulders' is good for stripping colour so i'l be using this for about a couple of months. I need to fade it out as much as i can an then i'l take a trip to the salon to get my new colour.. :) Time for pastures new an i...Can't wait!!

Out's:

Eating Junk: As i said above i have put on a few pounds in the past couple of months but i'm uncomfortable with it so it needs to come off and fast! lol. I have been eating an awful lot of rubbish lately so thats got to stop for one, and i've also been very lazy..ie noooo exercise of any sort! my cousin has just signed up for a marathon which puts me to shame :( i am lazy at the mo an the idea of pounding the treadmil is off putting!! But i do have to get back into it.. i wont be signing up for any marathon thou..! I hate running..so any exercise but that me thinks.. :) I might do a little diet an exercise progress update on here as often as i can..thats if i get that far, fingers crossed!! :)

Breakouts: I'm sooooo over spots..! I'm getting a few around my jaw an lip at the moment. The past few weeks i have been quite clear so its annoying. I did start using Mac Studio Fix foundation which i've heard from many people causes breakouts. Wheather its this or not i'm not sure.. i might stop using it for a week maybe an see if that makes a difference, will keep you posted..!

Hot drinks: I dont know about you..but i just cant seem to drink tea in the summer?? I Love cold drinks esp icey cold.. I still have a morning coffee to wake me up but thats it for the day now. I used to have a few cups an then a couple of cup's of tea throughtout the day but it doesnt seem right in the summer for some reason.. unless its a cold grey day then thats ok... :))

Fake tan: The one tan i loved is starting to look a bit orange on me :( I've not idea why. Or maybe i just didnt notice before.. So at the moment i'm enbracing my natural pale self..besides its almost autumn now anyway so with all the layers for winter tan wont be priority. However i would still like to test some new ones out.. What tan do you use?? If you have any recommendations that would be great!!

Lots of love

Another FOTD :))

Every day i want to do a new or favorite makeup look, i don't like wearing the same makeup all the time. I like my neutrals as much the next girl but i'm not afraid to wear colour either. Today i wanted to go for something pretty an romantic so i went for this plumy/pink look. I have vanilla all over the lid an plum through the outer corner an in the crease, well blended in it gives a more pretty rich pink which was what i wanted, this look is particulary lovely on blue & green eyes because of the reddy/pinky undertones.. Bluey purples look lovely on brown eyes.

Products used:

Face:
Mac Studio Fix foundation in NW20
Benefit blush in coralista
Benefit Brow kit in light
Mac Studio fix concealer in NW20

Eyes: Mac Vanilla eyeshadow
Essence Eyeshadow in Wild berry sorbet
Benefit Bad Gal Lash
Rimmel Kohl liner in black
